Research Interests
Research interests focus on the studies of supramolecular recognition for biomaterial owing to the potential applications of supramolecular compounds as gene targeted drugs and molecular probes as well as their capability for a variety of different binding modes to interact with biomolecular materials. Our main focus involves the following points: (1) the design of some supramolecular compounds which may be utilized as potential gene targeted drugs or serve as molecular probes for some biomaterial ; (2) the studies of the photophysical, photochemical, electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical behaviour when ligands specifically binding to some biomolecules; (3)in combination with nanotechnology, some new kinds of supramolecular biosensors and biochips will be pursued.
